Marc Menninger
Marc Menninger is a seasoned corporate information security and risk management professional with more than twenty years of experience. He has held the Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) certification since 2000 and the Certified in Risk and Information System Controls (CRISC) certification since 2016. Marc’s career started with his service as a Computer and Communications Officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1992 to 1997. During his tenure, he led a team of 19 UNIX
administrators, managing mobile Top Secret fiber optic networks. He was stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, LA, and served a short tour in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Shield.
Transitioning to civilian roles, Marc has navigated through several technical and leadership positions, building his expertise across the United States—from Dallas to San Francisco and, ultimately, Seattle. His roles have included Vice President of Corporate Information Security
at Washington Mutual Bank, Security Manager at PEMCO Corporation, Senior Security Manager at Lighthouse eDiscovery, and Director of Cybersecurity at A Place for Mom. Presently, he serves as the Information Security Officer at AstrumU.
